About Lorrie Mason

I have been making jewelry since 1989.  Operated a pushcart style vending business on Tampa’s Franklin Street pedestrian Mall for 4 years.   Obtained a BA in psych from USF and worked in Vocational Rehabilitation for 10 years.  Since having a daughter in 2003, I have joyfully returned to my passion for silversmithing.    I’ve been selling jewelry at Fine Art Shows for 3 years, while teaching what I have learned to help support my dedication to living creatively, metalsmithing and family.   I feel forutnate to have a studio at the West Tampa Center for the Arts where I offer instructed open studio classes and workshops.  Learning about metal and it’s properties continues to be an inspiration to me.  I try to let go and be a channel for a product that feels beautiful and fulfilling.
